Resurrection day sermon

Resurrection Sunday Message The Doctrine of the Resurrection Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1 off The doctrine of Christ's death and resurrection is at the foundation of Christianity. Remove this foundation from the matrix and the whole fabric will fall apart. Why because; 1. All our hope for eternity will sink at once 2. By holding to this truth firmly, Christians are made to stand in a day of trial and kept faithful to God. 3. It was that alone that Christians hope for salvation. 1 Cori. 15:2 for there is no salvation in any other name but by the name above all names, the name of Jesus. - There is no salvation in His name but upon supposition of His death and resurrection, for during all this transition He remained as Lord. - This becomes the saving faith of our religion today, the death and revival, crucifixion of our Redeemer and His conquest over death are but the very source of our spiritual life and hope. Now the saving faith should be observed so; (a) That they must be retained in mind Heb 9:23 - that they must be held fast so that the world is translated. This saving faith of the gospel must be fixed on our mind, resolve much in our thoughts. The saving faith won't save us if we do not attend to it, yield to its power and continue to do so to the end. (b) That we believe in vain unless we continue and preserve in the saving faith of the gospel. So if you take away this doctrine of resurrection from Christians, you make nothing of Christianity. We have nothing for faith or hope to fix upon as Christians. As we look upon this special day in our Christian life let us fix our mind on Jesus who has completed the work of redemption on the cross for us. We are now no longer debtors to sin, but the prize (ransom) for our sins has been fully settled by His death on the cross making us victorious in His resurrection. Happy Resurrection Day.
